West Street Potters has a very active group of Raku enthusiasts. Since investing in a brand new Raku kiln in 2016 we have run a weekend workshop with Steve Carter ‘From the Fire into the Pond’ and our tutor Kathy Mason has run regular workshops throughout the summer months for members to learn the process of raku and gain familiarity with the kiln.
All tutors include Raku as a regular part of their regular week day classes during the summer months, when the evenings are lighter.
There have been some fabulous results and some people have defintitely ‘got the raku bug’!
