Emmanuel Cooper was a patron of 318 Ceramics and we were given the privilege of hosting a memorial lecture in his name each year in partnership with the Crafts Study Centre. This is the fifth in the series and we are delighted to have Dr Steve Brown delivering the 2018 lecture.

Dr Steve Brown will give a fascinating lecture about the restoration of a historic porcelain fountain commissioned in 1747 as a dessert course table centre piece to celebrate the marriage of the Dauphin and Princess Maria Josephine of Saxony. It was manufactured by Meissen in their newly invented European hard paste porcelain.

This illuminating lecture takes its audience on a captivating journey covering all aspects of such an enormous task.

Dr Steve Brown will also be running a summer school at 318 later in the year.
