Pin Ball restoration project?

I have received the following email.  Just wondering if any of our members knows of anyone who would be able to help Matthew out in his restoration project.  Please get in touch with Matthew directly if you can help.

Good morning. I am restoring a vintage pinball machine and there are areas of the playfield that have worn out and need repainting. These are quite intricate images where the image and colours need to be matched to the surrounding areas. Below is an example of the kind of work required. It probably needs the use of acrylic paints. I, or they, would then cover it with a strong varnish.

The reason for the email is to ask if know anyone local to me (Farnham, Surrey) who might be able to do this kind of work? I think it needs the kind of skills offered by specialist restorers.

Many thanks

Shozo Michikowa…beyond all our expectations!

PACS Potters day last Saturday with Shozo Michikowa was beyond all our expectations! He inspired us all with his freedom with the clay and ceramic form and absolute joy and integrity in his life and work. Shozo’s wife and daughter were with him – his wife very much a hands on helper to him.

Our audience of 40 comprised not only members of PACS Potters, but West Street Potters, Southern Ceramics Group, PACS (Petersfield Arts and Crafts Society) and friends. At the end of the day we put the family on the train to London from a Petersfield, ready to give a sell-out talk and demo at the V&A on Sunday afternoon! It was a privilege to have him for a day, between his course in Westdean and the V&A.

His exhibition at Erskine Hall begins this coming week.
