The course is being run by a member of PACS Potters (my Petersfield Arts Society group) – Suzanne Rampton, and Abby Ducharme (who is a potter at Grayshott Pottery.)
The course was run yesterday (26th March), there will be another one next Sunday 2nd April and there are also dates in May and June.
The focus is on throwing and slab building a combination project – lidded container. We will be looking at how to construct without cracking and using mark making to create designs on the finished item.
The workshop is aimed at anyone that wishes to learn to throw but also suitable for those wishing to improve their throwing with one to one tuition in a small group. The combined slab built and thrown project this brings together the best of both worlds of creating with clay.
A homemade soup and warm rolls for lunch with cake for afternoon tea will be provided alongside tea and coffee during the day. All equipment and materials and firing of work is included along with unlimited clay supplies.
Starts 10am on Sunday 2nd April until 4.30pm
The workshop will be held at Suzanne’s studio at Hilston House, Denmead. Details of how to book on the flyer above.
