We are delighted that Julie Ayton will be joining us at WSP for a demonstration day on Saturday 4th March 2017, 10.30am-4.30pm.
Julie originally trained at WSCAD, Farnham during Henry Hammond’s reign, and for many years was resident potter at Salisbury Arts Centre, since 2009 she has enjoyed the seclusion and creative freedom of her own studio.
The morning will be a slide show followed after lunch by a ‘hands on’ session. Attendees are invited to bring along leather hard, pre-made tiles for the afternoon session to experiment with the techniques and ideas shared by Julie. You need to use a smooth, pale firing stoneware clay. (There will be a bag of clay clearly labelled in the workshop for those who do not normally use this type of clay.)
Please contact weststreetpotters@btinternet to book a place. Cost is £25 for the day, with a bring and share lunch.
