Once again a fabulous feast for the West Street Potters end of year summer lunch. Thanks to everyone who attended and have supported WSP throughout the year. Hope you all have a wonderful summer break and return refreshed and brimming with inspiration for the Autumn Term.
Thanks to Ashley Howard for the pictures.
West Street Potter members and budding new potters joined our tutor Kathy Mason for a hand-building and press mould workshop last Saturday. I hear that everyone had a great time….lots of new pots created and the lunch looks delicious!
Thanks Isabel for the pictures.
The Southern Ceramic Group will be holding their Summer Exhibition in the wonderful setting of the Bishop`s Kitchen, accessed from the Chichester Cathedral precincts, to be held from 27th July to 11th August. This year we have over 40 ceramic artists plus we will be showcasing work by several new members to our Group. There will be an exciting and diverse collection of ceramic pieces made by members of the Southern Ceramic Group who range from professional potters to relative new-comers. The work on show will be wide ranging in style from functional to sculptural, from stoneware to raku and smoke fired pieces.
The event will be stewarded by those exhibiting so there will be a chance to meet the makers during the two weeks of the event. The Bishop`s Kitchen provides a lov
ely setting and we are sure that you will be inspired by the beautiful ceramic pieces on show. Entry to the Exhibition is free and opens daily from 10am to 5pm.
For further information on this event and other details about the Southern Ceramic Group, please see www.southernceramicgroup.co.uk or to make contact via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Classic Podmore P6706 electric potters wheel
(240 volts/Phase 1/0.33 horsepower)
Good sturdy well made item, sold as seen – previously used by hobbyist potter so probably not for repetition throwing. Padded seat and accelerator pedal not attached in photo but item complete with them. Bought with the intention to start doing more throwing but have now decided to stay with hand building a while longer.
The wheel is in Chiddingfold – buyer must collect. Sturdy trailer or appropriate transport (and a helping hand) needed due to size and weight of this item.
Any questions please email Kay Richardson at email@example.com or call on 07534 034532.
All in all a solid wheel, well built and built to last – not like some of the more flimsy things of today.
