Thanks to everyone who came along to the Ashley Howard demonstration day last weekend. I hope you agree that it was an enjoyable day. Interesting to gain an insight into his throwing and glazing techniques (and even some secret recipes!). A thought provoking slide show illustrating the background to his ceramic achievements, thinking and inspiration was also appreciated. Wonderful to see the large ‘font’ being created.
Myra’s Monday evening class have been experimenting with applied ‘sprig’ work for the first time. Myra thinks they have done really well and has sent me these pictures to share their efforts.

At last week’s Farnham Art Society exhibition in the Maltings, WSP members Anne Nixon and Louis Wilkes exhibited and sold their work for the first time there. They are both thrilled to have reached this stage in their pottery work through West Street Potters.
Three people from Tuesday Evening’s class have recently been accepted as exhibiting members of the Farnham Art Society, which is great news. Well done to you all.
